Imlay City Historical Museum
|
Spring Opening
The museum was closed for the months of January and Februrary. During that time two displays were changed out. The "waiting room" showcase now features a timeline of some key events in Imlay City's history beginning with its founding in 1870 up to the construction of the Borland Elementary School in 1971. This exhibit will be used as "talking points" for the third grade spring visit as they complete their study of local history.
The Imlay City historical coloring book is also in the process of being developed for presentation to third graders.
The second display in the "ticket office" features memorabilia from World War I and II and is on loan from the collections on Reese Kittle and Stacey Brown.
